Grande Anse beach is located in the southern part of the island in the vicinity of the resort village of Petite-Île and is the main sight of these places. The beach is situated in a cozy picturesque bay surrounded by basalt rocks, and is framed by majestic coconut palms, making it even more appealing and exotic. Do not go to Grande Anse beach with a view to swimming since, like most beaches in Réunion, swimming is prohibited due to sharks. However, a natural swimming pool has been set up, to the south of the beach, in order to be able to swim in complete safety, sheltered from the swell by huge basaltic rocks.
It is an ideal place to rest, sunbathe, sleep under the coconut trees, have a picnic, stroll ... and admire the landscape.
