For a more peaceful alternative to the main beach, there is also a long, sandy beach near the lighthouse on the way to Akyarlar. Good access between Bodrum and Turgutreis, with a regular dolmuş service which stops in the center of Turgutreis.

There is also Turgutreis, Sunset Beach, which is perhaps one of the most beautiful beaches in Bodrum. It offers the best view of the region on the sunset. Swimming with a view of Kos Island is an invaluable experience.

The public beach of Turgutreis is one of the few that has a ramp and toilets for the disabled and people in wheelchairs.
