Our History
Nouvelle Clinique Ferriere (NCF) is the oldest clinic of the island. Founded in 1923 at Les Casernes, Curepipe by Dr Joseph Anthony Ferriere, a renowned physician and surgeon, the clinic was then known as Clinique Ferrière. After his death in 1929 the clinic was run by a council of doctors and became the major medical centre of the island.
In 1962 the clinic was handed over to the Congrégation des Soeurs de Charité de Notre Dame du Bon et Perpétuel Secours (BPS) and moved to its present location in the heart of Curepipe in 1964. It was then renamed Nouvelle Clinique Ferrière.
