To your right of its entryway, take on a series of whirling staircases to access the highest viewing point. Huffing and puffing your way through, settle right by the bell tower – you’ll have a spellbinding view of the unassuming interiors. Art aficionados will surely delight in the skilful interplay of frescoes and carvings around the eponymous angelic theme.
From there, pursue on your hike. A total of 96 staircases will take around 30 minutes or so to complete. Once on the terrace, hypnotic views of the Mahebourg countryside and beyond will unfold right before your eyes. Chances are high that you’re drinking in the best historical pulls of the island.
