Much less typical and genuine than its corollary of the capital, built in 2000, just 5 minutes from the city center, the Grand Baie Bazaar was to be a colorful place, with a slightly cacophonous atmosphere ... the opposite is true: architecture, the bazaar is just a commercial complex like the others, whose appearance as a covered market does not justify price escalation. You can always take a tour of curiosity or if you have not found anything in town (the place still has a hundred hundred stalls, which is not nothing), but you will be warned.
One exception, however, is the "Robin Hood Shop" (Stall # 133 in the back). If you would like to bring back a little souvenir of your vacation, be it sarongs, shirts, T-shirts, a cashmere pashmina, an assortment of spices or a basket woven in bright colors, the "Robin Hood's shop" is really a good opportunity for all to go shopping! The owners Mr and Mrs P. Jadheea offer a mix of more upmarket products than the rest of the Bazaar does not offer.
